LS6 motor Q's
LS6 motor, 10.5:1 CR (64.43cc heads).
I assume this is with a .052 gasket right?
Also taking average out of hole piston at .08.
So theoreticaly the quench on a stock LS6 is ~ .046
So, if I were to change the gaskets with a .040 MLS this should give me ~.032 quench
Now that would mean a .012 reduction in cc (at .006/cc) = 2cc
64.43-2cc=62.43
or a CR increase of ~ 10.7>10.8 CR
So if I were to mill an LS6 (243) head another .015 I should be ~11:1 CR
To sum it up: .040 MLS + .015 mill = 11:1 CR on a stock LS6, W/.032 squish
Would I be correct in this assumption?
