The vettes do not get better traction. They have independent rears which makes it harder for them to hook if anything.

ya...for drag racing IRS is worse, although I did see a vette cut a 1.4x with IRS before.

If I'm not mistaken, the Vette's have higher flow catalytics and higher flowing
mufflers.

From what I've read, the Vette's have always dyno'd higher because of this
(comparing similar production years).

I'll have to do some digging to confirm this.

C5's get loaded for Spray straight from the factory. F-Bodies do not.

yeah, the less and weight and the fact the vette transfers what weight it has better. Isnt the intake a lil different on a vette? or not? but also, the exhaust is a big restrictor. The Y pipe is killer.

Not all years have the same cam. I believe they both use the 6.0L cam from 2001 on up.

Well, up until the My issue of Hotrod magazine, I believe the fastest LS1 was an F Body. THe May Issue has an Fbody (possibly the same?) now in the 7's.

As for stock, GM will never allow a car to run faster than the Vette

2 things make them faster,

1 weight
2 aerodynamics

Race a vette with the same power lvl and notice that the fast you go the harder they pull, The fbods are truely qtr mile cars.

Nope, ybody and fbody LS1's have always come with different cams. 2001 and 2002 fbody's do have the 6L truck cam, but even the base vette of those years has a bigger cam than that, and the Z06 still bigger.

nothing a couple of bolt ons can't fix. Not trying to make any C5 owners mad, but the ones that don't use this board keep there cars stock and use it for a status symbol. Beating them shouldn't be a problem. Don't get my wrong, my next car is going to be a C6 M6 in silver.

A lot of normal vette owners have them as a status symbol, but most of the Z06 owners are serious. There's a big difference between aftermarket cams and any factory cam, though.
