Default 6.0 & 383 questions

I blew my pistons the other day with nos, I will get pics up on the other thread soon, and I am going to either put a 383 stroker kit in it from summit, $2600 though, or a 6.0 probably $1500 from what I have gathered so far.

I am just wondering what your experiences are with either one. Is either one worth the $? What would compression be w either? It be a stock valvetrain with ls6 cam. Would it be better to upgrade it all at once. I'm not driving the car now and I am willing to wait to do either, I have found an lq9 shortblock for 675 shipped. Like i said the 383 stroker kit is 2600 in summit. Help...any advice suggestions or experiences helpful is greatly appreciated.

Sorry for some dumb questions but I dont want to go wrong here, and do it right while i got it all out. I am looking for a car that will run 8.0 1/8ths 9.2-9.5 1000 ft. w/o n2o or boost. I figure I will save that card for now.
