First off hello everyone I am new to this site, have been on Fbody.com forever and dont post alot, but figured I would join this site.

Just a quick question I currently haev a 98ta LS1 car, I am basically trading straight up for a 6L out of a 03 Silverado [I have a friend at Chevy dealership who warrentied the engine out for piston slap, not to mention my car/engine has over 100k on it]. What I am curious of are the cam specs the same between the 6.0 and my origional 5.7??? Also, if anything needs to be changed from anyone that has doen thsi swap please let me know, thanks!!

Nope your 98 has a slighty bigger cam than the 6.0L. 01 and 02 LS1's also use the 6.0L cam. You just need to stuff an aftermarket cam in that thing before you put it in the car! It will never be easier than now with the engine out.
