Head And Cam Question??

Head And Cam Question?? I have a 01 Trans-Am with a lid and exhuast. I was wonderin about getting the LS6 Heads from a Zo6. I was wondering if these are good heads to get for my car and if they will give me some pretty good power gains. I also wanted to get a pretty agressive cam for my car. My car is not a daily driver car so gas mileage is not really an issure for me

LS6 heads are good. Ported LS6 heads are better. AFR makes some very nice and currently hot ported LS1 heads though.
Now I go through the standard "you sure you ready for a cam?" list.
When you say exhaust do you mean the full exhaust, headers and all?
What tranny? If A4 do you have a converter? If M6 do you have a new clutch and rear end? (rear end if track is in it's future)
What gears do you have?

You are not ready for heads/cam. You need to get headers (longtubes preferable, mids okay) and a Y-pipe or duals. For a radical aggressive cam you need gears.
