i run a 232/236 cam and my mpg averages in the 20s with a mix of hwy and city driving, if i do straight hwy i see about 30mpg

and i am on stock heads with all the normal bolt ons and for sake of argument my car is tuned in OPEN LOOP and has been for 50k miles without a hitch

I lost 2 mpg average switching to the bigger cam...I would average 24 with a mix of highway/country driving with just bolt ons, but 22 with the cam...

By the way, the only way anyone is getting 30 mpg with a cam or without a cam is to drive at 55 mph...

I get 22/23 mph with the cruise set at 80 mph...

With my '00 FRC I would get 27 mpg straight highway mileage at 70 mph...And that had factory cam with only minor bolt ons...

12 mpg seems low, but alot has to do with the kind of driving habits you have and whether or not you are on the highway much...

Peace...Gman

I have 233/239 w/ 3500 stall and 373's. My gas mileage is pretty poor around town (<15). But I still get about 19 on the highway.

With my MS3 going back and forth to the track I've figured I get right around 20mpg (mix of city and alittle 45-50mph highway driving). I havn't figured my highway miles but I imagine it would be around 25mpg, it was about 28+mpg before. Gotta love the 2.73 gears.

20c 29h

Mileage is similar to stock, no noticible change.

LOL!!! If youre on it enough to get the clutch to slip, no matter how worn, youre NOT driving for fuel economy thats for sure!

no, its really bad. I dont even race it. I dont drive it that hard....ive been battling this issue for a while. Its a spec 3 and after 7months its already out. Im just going to throw in the zo6 clutch kit for now till i can get a new RAM PG and flywheel.

The guys here who are getting deep in the twentys or even thirty MPG are driving their cars like theirs an egg between their shoe and the pedal that theyre trying not to crush.
