Default gear drive timing chain replacement

Does anyone make a gear drive system to replace the timing chain on the LS1? If so, anybody use it and like it? Pros and cons?

The problem with running a gear drive on a engine, it will trick the knock sensors into thinking they are detecting knock. That is why they are not recommended for engines with knock sensors.

Pro - Timing stays exact, no slop.

Con - Takes away a little bit of power and makes hard to determine where a engine noise is coming from.

I was going to say, you cant run these with knock sensors. If youre going to have your knock sensors tuned out for some reason, then I guess you could run one, but most people would do better with a simple chain while keeping their knock sensors. Even the ls2 chain is strong enough for most applications, and if you need more, there are plenty of double chains out there.
