Default Detonation from motor running hot?

Does anyone know at approximately what temperature this would occur. My engine is running very hot (230-233 degrees). Is that hot enough to cause detonation?

I have a heads/cam car with LS6 heads milled 30 thousands. Just want to figure out if that's my only issue.

Thanks,

Im not sure at what temp det would occur it just depends on your motor every motor is different but yes 230 can definently cause it to detonate.n thats way too hot do you have a 160 stat in. if you dont get one immediatly and get that temp down.
