1.8 rockers w/ stock 02 Z06 springs? Help my friend... My friend wants to put 1.8 rockers on his 02 Z06 and still has stock valvetrain. He wants to know if his stock springs can take the rockers. I've heard many different storys how much these springs can take so any help would be great.
I told him to buy the 918's and forget about it but he doesn't feel like changing the springs, dunno why

while you can do it. it's a matter of when one will break. tell him to do it and get back with us on the total miles he gets when he breaks one. what happens is the valve will open and shut quicker as well as gain higher lift. more spring pressure will be needed to control the rapid movement.
i didn't take the chance and put vinci duals in when i did the 1.8 accelerated lift rockers.
