well, first of all, you cant "bore" out an aluminum block, you're going to need to resleeve it. The cheaper way to do this is by using the iron 6.0L block, which can be bored out to a 408.

second of all, what are your goals with this motor? that will determin what type of rotating assembly you will need.

lastly, it isnt a 350

LS1 is a 346 cid
You cannot bore it to get a 408.
Best route is 6.0L block, bored and a 4.0 inch crank, you can just go without boring for a 402.

thanks, yeah. I just learned alot from you guys. Right now, that looks like a little too much, so, I think im just going to go with a supercharger, new gears, and headers along with some off road y-pipes. Thanks again guys

Just do a leakdown and compression test to see if your block can handle that.

Or you can have your LS1 block honed (cleaned) .005 and stroked to 4.000. That will make it a 383 cid. Depending on cam / heads / bolt-ons, you can be anywhere between 400rwhp and 470+rwhp with plenty of low-end torque.

This is what I did. My setup is "extremely conservative" for a stroker (224/.560/112+4 XE cam, LS1 heads, 10.6:1cr, LS6 intake, 1 3/4 headers, stock exhaust). Sure, I'm in the low side with 399rwhp/411rwtq (through a 12 bolts, steel driveshaft and dual-friction clutch). But with my baby cam I still got 29mpg on the highway, stock manners (with just the right amount of lope at 800rmp idle), no surging, no stalling, easy on valvetrain parts, and a shitload of torque in the low-end (370rwtq at only 2500rpm, basically it's a truck engine ). Personnaly, I would do the same thing if I was to do it all over again.

With a more aggressive setup (240+ cam, LS6 heads, 11.x:1cr, FAST 90 intake, 1 7/8 headers, etc...) you can see 460+rwhp out of a LS1 383 stroker.

Don't plan on running too much power for too long without getting forged internals.
