It's Alive!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, after almost two weeks working on the car at night, I finished installing the following:

VHP Accererated lift 1.8 rockers
Crane dual valve springs with titanium retainers
New pushrods
JWIS timing chain
GMPP timing chain damper
VHP Boss II cam
ATI 10% underdrive balancer

With much trepedation, turned the key it fired up and I had 45 psi of oil pressure very quickly. Very noisy for a few minutes but quieted right down. Car is now cooling overnight, we'll see how it runs tomorrow :D

While it's still fresh, any advise or tips for us other C5 guys getting ready to do a cam swap?

Make sure you have all your parts ahead of time. I also got some rubber vacuum covers and put them over the power steering lines when I removed them from the steering rack. Didn't lose hardly any fluid. I also picked up two new o-rings for the power steering fittings.

I separated the fans from the radiator first. Slide toward the drivers side, lift the passenger's side and then the driver's side. I also took lots of photo's and notes so if a problem came up I could go back and look. I also used some Redline assembly lube, dissolves very fast in oil and has no particulate in it. It was a lot of work, but I am much more familiar with the motor now and it wasn't particularly hard.
