K&N 2006 here also, and M1 5w30 oil. I cant find any of the German anything oil on Island... I do change oil more often than Patman on the Camaro, since I race it, A LOT and use nitrous, which has a tendency to push some crap past the rings. Havent done an analysis yet, but want to.

I use the K&N because of the filter quality (which is only as good as others) and I've vome to love the 1" nut on the bottom. It makes it so easy to change it's worth another 5 bucks once or twice a year. Maybe if I was putting more miles on the car I'd consider Napa or Wix???

FRAM filters are sorta' like the shitty factory rings on our LS1's ... when I cut open a FRAM filter, I could clearly see why they are inferior as compared to most other filters. I use K&N simply because it scared me when I cut open my old FRAM filter with the cardboard structure **** inside it. I've put too much money into my car to not pay a little more for a good quality filter.

I worked at an oil change place back when I was a teen and have seen comparisons and cut aways and do agree there are better filters but I just keep buying them lol. Is there a Framaholic clinic I can check into somewere? I do like the K&N and will be running it on my new engine and probably be doin the change to K&N next oil change. I worked at a speed shop for 4 years that sells em so Ill be makin a stop by there soon

Mostly I use A/C delco. But it isnt a big issue because I change the oil every 3,000 miles or less. As long as its not a 'Friggemall Industries' oil filter or one I cant pronounce...I'd say I'm good with it.
