Adjustable Harland Sharp 1.7's I found needle bearins in my oil pan, so I picked up a set of Adjustable Harland Sharp 1.7 rockers. Could somebody give me a step by step process of installing these and setting the lash. I'm unsure of how to do this since our cars have hydraulic lifters. I have a 98 Trans Am, the engine is pretty much stock except for an LS6 intake and PCV kit. |
i didnt think harlands were adjustable? |
Unless they have a new model, HS are non adjustable. Just use TDC method and 22ft/lbs |
Go to Speedinc.com that's where I bought mine from, HS has new adjustable 1.7 rockers. |
Not much experience with these around here. Perhaps someone can chime in. Probably will have to grind your valvecovers for clearance and perhaps the head too. 98 perimeter heads are renown to have clearance issues with all aftermarket rockers. If I were you, I would just send those back and get them to do the LS1/LS6 "upgrade on the stockers". much less headaches. |
They do make 1.7 adjustable. If you need any help with them, give Randy JR. @ Harland Sharp a call at 440-238-3260, he is a great guy to deal with. |

The Patriot shaft mounts will not fit under a stock cover. |
