Default LG4 vs LS6 heads

From what I've read the 2001 and up LG4 and LS6 heads are the same except for chamber volume. Is this the case? Are the port configurations volume the same. The valve sizes are the same....I'm assuming the LG4 uses a much lighter valve springs?

Are you talking about the LQ9 heads?

From what I've read the LQ9 has a small chamber just like the LS6....mabye even exactly the same head. But the LQ4 definatly has a larger chamber for lower compression in the standard truck application. But are the ports the same as an LS6?

And yes, I think I indentified LQ4 incorrectly as a LG4 in my original post....sorry 'bout that mixup.....

The LQ4 and LQ9 heads are the same and have the 72cc chambers. They are basically an LS6 casting with larger chambers.
