Couple of Qs:

What is your goal?
Why did you select that cam?
What are your bolt ons?
Why the comp Rs?

mikeyZ06 Oct 16, 2005 10:07 AM

With a good intake and exhaust should put you over 400rwhp for sure.

Well I want it streetable (even if it's a weekend car). I was going with the TR224 but I found a TR227 for sale on the board and at the time (well, last week) i just thought it would be a little more powerfull than the 224, I didn't know what reverse splt cam mean.. Everybody ask me why I go with this cam, are there any kind of problems? As far I know (not much) reverse split cams need good flowing exhaust, is this correct? The other bolts are lid, FTRA, LS6 oil pump, Ls6 intake, 4.10's, pacesetters LT's, catted Y pipe, slp dual dual catback. I'm going with comp R because evrerybody are happy with them.

suggestions?

Ttt :)

<---- Scratches head.. Comp R's ? I think you would be way better off with 850's unless your going adjustable rockers.
I don't care what anyone says, Comp says R's are made for adjustable rockers only and who would know better than the maker.

btw, nice setup otherwise..

orangeapeel Oct 16, 2005 05:43 PM

I hear that people have problems with comp r's and you might even be better off with stock.

oh ok, I didn't know that, thanks, well I guess I have one for sale now.. :jest:

So 850's would be the best for this setup?

Steve C. Oct 16, 2005 07:00 PM

lookin good :drive:

Lorenz Oct 17, 2005 08:36 AM

You definitely do not want Comp R's, especially since you're running a very conservative cam. Those lifters are only made for adjustable rockers and i'm not sure they even work too well that way. i had them and they turned out to be nothing but loud noise and a pain in the ass. Get the 850's.
