what bore for aftermarket pistons?

Default what bore for aftermarket pistons?

i want to build a forged low comp motor for FI and i want to stay with the stock cubes what bore, like a 3.898" or a 3.905" on a -16cc dished mahle piston? and then should i get a rod that is 6.126"? slightly confused on the differnece in bore if i am not boring over my block.

If you are not honing the block .005" then you can go with a 3.898, standard bore piston. If your block is used, then you will need a hone, which would probablly require the .005" hone, thus the 3.905 piston. Most aftermarket pistons are set-up for the 6.125 rod, but you need to check with the manufacturer or vendor before making the final choice.
