Default Will LS1 parts work in bored 5.3?

My wife and I would like to replace our hi mileage 5.3 soon and are considering stroking it. I know I should go with a 6.0, but I want to see what I can do with my 5.3. I was thinking we could bore it out to the size of the 5.7. Then use our crank and buy some freshened LS1 rods + forged pistons. Will the LS1 rods fit on the LM7 crank? I heard something was different in the rotating assembly (same stroke, differents something else?). I would top it off with ported LS6 heads. Or could I use the LS1 stroker kits in my block (382 or whatever)? I hope to have this motor built by january and I'm looking to gather parts early. Thanks for any help you guys could give me.

It is gettin popular to bore the 5.3 block out to 3.905 and use stroker kits. I have seen em on ebay assembled and what not for sale and I have one at the machine shop now doin the same thing for my wifes '63 Chevy PU.
