Default About the extra tube when removing A.I.R.

Once all the hoses, pump, check valves and misc lines are removed, there is one small tubing that runs behind the manifold, that is supposed to get a small screw inserted to block it off.

...but I'd like to know what this tube is, and where it runs to?

It runs to the back of the manifold where the PB booster, map sensor and HVAC vacc hoses get their vacc. It is a vacc. source for the AIR diverter valve you probably removed that was attached to the back of the D/S head.

Make sure and plug it up. When I removed my AIR I missed that step and it caused a slight miss accelerating only in 6th gear at 1800-2200rpms. Could not repeat it in any other gear or speed. Plugged it up and has not occurred since.

Does anything have to be done to the PCM when removing the A.I.R. system?
