Warhawk Alum Race Block Pictures - SEMA 05 Had a good time at the SEMA show today and met alot of nice reps.
The World guys were excited about all the buzz about the new Warhawk block and are going to have it ready for the public asap.
They asked where I had heard about it because I knew most of the specs..I told them from www.LS1Tech.com message board and they said "Yea we really like that site, alot of good people. Thats where it seems everyone that comes up mentions they heard about it. We will be checking in to see what people have to say and give plenty of info on it, because it appears to be the go-to LS1 site"
So LS1tech is growing in popularity
Heres the Warhawk LS1 block pics also their new LS7 style heads with the 6 bolts per cylinder. Also they said no iron block version is planned. He hinted that 350 cfm estimated out of the box with 400 cfm with a full port.
One guy said they are planning to do a test car, aiming for 800 hp N/A combo's that anyone can build with their new heads and tall deck block.
They are offering it in standard height and tall deck. With a 4.5" Stroke crank, you will see 500 cubic inches with a good rod ratio making a nice street motor. Also the oil system is revised to feed the bearings first, needing near 1/2 the oil pressure and longer lasting bearings. Billet caps standard with the 6-bolt side bolts.
After BS'ing with the guys for awhile, I heard one line I thought was great "We expect these in the 5's in the next couple years. Just wait, you might see the days of 7-8 second street cars becoming more of the norm with the wonderful design of these motors"

Wow, things are about to get real silly when people start getting a hold of this stuff. The gen 3 stuff is great, now if only they could have fixed the oiling issues caused by the "sprinkler system" crank, ha ha.

It'll be a few years before you can put an engine that size into one of these cars relatively cheaply. I can't even imagine what the drivetrain in these things would do behind one of those. Everything would suddenly look a bit inadequate.

The World block comes with billet caps and is fully machined and ready to go. Say you were going to resleeve a ls1 block for a 427 and buy billet caps including all machining. You will spend $3000 as it is if you include the block core cost ($500)
So its no more expensive to use one of these instead of a resleeved ls1 block
