Default ? 124k miles on stock rockers and lifters should they be replaced?

as it says i have 124,000 miles on my stock lifters and rockers. right now my set-up is dont laugh 383 with 224/224 .581/.581 lsa 114 cam stock heads mac mids true duals and bolt-ons.

i will be switching out cam to 232/236 .57x/.58x lsa 114 ( dont remebr exact lift right now) and a set of heads they will be aftermarket just not relaesing what im getting yet and i will be going with a set of long tubes also.

i want to know what yall recomend as far as lifter and rocker replacement if yall think it needs to be done. i asume the lifters should have allreday been done but teh rockers are my main concern right now i have heard soem storie about stock rockers going out with teyh bearings it has in them.

leave feedback on what you think

With that mileage I would for sure replace the lifters and you might as well do the rockers at the same time. I kept my stock lifters when I swapped cams but they only had 16K on them. The Comp replacements seem to be a quality product, stay away from the Comp R's though as they need an adjustable valvetrain setup to work correctly it seems. To keep the cost down buy a set of relatively new stock rockers off the for sale forum or go with the rebuilt Harlands. HTH

With 124K it's simply safe insurance.

I'd replace the lifters. I had 80,000 miles when i pulled my lifters and one of them fell apart. I used the melling replacements they were around $170 from Futral. I'm not sure about the rockers. But with 124,000 miles i think it would be wise.

Def replace the lifters with Comp OEM replacements and pick up a set of new, or barely used, stock rockers from a board member. No reason to get aftermarket rockers, plenty of people running big HP with stock rockers.
