Default have you considered Romac?

Have you considered a Romac? I got mine for ~270 shipped. It's light (7.5 lbs) has a full keyway machined on it for a blower and aftermarket cranks and is well made. They come from Australia so the only offset they have is the Corvette (holden) offset. I am running an electric WP and am running a bottom mount alternator so no worries for about belt routing. Just a thought.

I'm looking for an SFI piece that does not have a provision for a/c.

It's definitely SFI spec'd but it does have the the 2 sets of pulley grooves.

If all you are interested in is the SFI Spec, I have seen several that meet the requirement in the ~ $150 range, Pioneer and Performance plus are two brands that come to mind. They all look relatively well made, I am not entirely sure what kind of equipment it would take to measure the harmonic dampening differences between the different brands anyway. Bottom end failures are pretty uncommon for the LS1's so I had a hard time forking over $400 for a balancer. After a recomendation for Romac from a friend who swears by them for his Ford motors I took the plunge and I am happy with what I got after looking at it. The engine it's on is still waiting on heads so I have zero run time on it. If it spits a rod out the bottom, I would have to say I made a bad decision but until then Romac for me. FWIW the Fluidampr brand appears to have the accesory pully on it as well I don't know about the ATI.

Agreed, I used to run an ASP non-SFI crank pulley but I'm looking for something for an 8 second car that will make 900rwhp.

Okay I talked to Fred at Fluidampr, I think I will buy one and see how it goes. They sell 4 dampers, 2 for C5 and 2 for F-body. One of each are 10% underdriven. They are SFI and retail for around $350.

I have not bought one yet. The Fluidampr ones have the extra pulley for AC which I don't want. I'm not sure if it's bolted on or what, I need to cal them again. I will be a damper next week for sure.

Just buy the ATI...

There was a huge discussion on hardcore50 about elastomer, fluid and "rattler" type of dampeners. Lots of info.

Buy ATI and forget about any problems.

I have an ATI now with my custom Vortech setup. Quality is definitely there, will get one of those if nothing else makes sense.
