Yeah that cam will work fine on stock heads. It is all relative to what you want. You can even go with the T-Rex if you wanted, but you will not the have the best drivability.

The TRex, I thought, was designed as a max effort cam for stock heads. The car it was tested in (during developement) had stock heads. Correct me if I'm wrong.

T-Rex is only as tolerable as you are willing to let it be. I wouldnt hesitate to run it!

Not to hijack the thread but im in the same situation trying to find a cam with stock heads... "GOGO" you said,
You can even go with the T-Rex if you wanted, but you will not the have the best drivability
How would it specifically affect drivability?

T-Rex seems to be the biggest production cam, but I have seen slightly larger custom grinds for stock heads without flycutting. I am not sure if G5X4 will fit stock heads or not. Increasing LSA will help idle and drivability slightly, but when you are in the 24Xs you should not be looking at drivability, you should be thinking where do I want my power band to be. If you want drivability go with something in the 22Xs generally, otherwise it is your own preferrence of what drivability is to you. For me, as long as it does not die and it starts up I could care less about the rest. It is all in the tune from there.

G5X3. Its not the "biggest" cam you can go with, but its right up there....Me and my friend have em, and we each got over 400rwhp with bolt ons, and a tune. I started out with a 224, and upgraded to a G5X3, and I couldnt be happier.
