LASH for J2K's and Morel's I've searched like mad and still can't find much. How in the world do I set the lash on my J2K/Morel set-up?? They are the adjustable J2K roller rockers by Jesel, and the Morel's are hydraulic rollers. I've set them cold, but I'm pretty sure I did it wrong. I set them to .020 intake/.024 exhaust, but they kept collapsing the lifter on me. Any ideas before I start up my new motor and have instant damage??? |
I don't think you set the lash @ .020 on hydraulic lifters. You probably should preload them .010-.020 or so. Phil |
Lash or Pre-Load? You can't set lash on a hydraulic lifter, only a solid lifter. |
Recommended preload on the Morel's is 0.030". What head mods were required for the Jesels, just a spacer or did you have to modify the pushrod holes as well? How much did you have to modify the heads if you did? |
call Jesel and Morel.... |

I spoke to Chris Straub on this at length. He knows the Morel lifters quite well, his recommendation was 0.030". When you modified the head, no mods required to the pushrod holes to elongate them? |
