I can not find anything in this thread that would imply that the LS1 tray version is in any way better than the LS2 tray version. Can you please explain?
This is all that I found "The ls2 block has cast ribs that interfer if you use ls1 trays. the ls2 trays have molded recesses for clearance around the ribs." But this only states that the LS2 block has issues when trying to use the ls1 lifter trays, I dont see anything about the trays themselves!
Or maybe I am missing something..................

LS2 Lifter trays #12595365 I got mine from SMC Peromance.inc.
www.smcperformance.com 1-248-276-0483 ask for (Shaun) they have every thing you need new and used for all LS1-6 and the new Aluminum LS2 blocks. Im building a 418cid.aluminum LS2 and they had every bolt, plugs, screws, covers and lifter tray for my LS2

Someone was going to post pics!
The only reason I am interested is that some people have had issues with lifters turning in the retainers and causing a mess in the engine. Since they are relatively close in price it would be interesting to know if one is more prone to failing!
