I get about 200-230 miles till the gas light comes on. But that's ALOT of WOT, and around town, and about 75-100 miles highway, but my highway usually involves 4th gear pulls to around 140, so my highway is no better than city. On the highway highway, I can get like 25ish, but I do 90-100. That's after a 228/230 .588/.592 cam, head work, headers, no cats, no emissions what not. 01 M6 SS.

See sig for mods. The car has a cam in it, and stock 3.42s. FWIW, I can "average" 20 mpg, COMBINED. Did it twice. Method used was to calculate the mileage on trip meter vs gallons used to fill tank. Drove the car like a grandma on Nyquil. I coast up to stops with car in nuetral (no down shifting), and drove at 70 mph on the freeway. 70 mph on the freeway with 3.42s is @ 1500 rpm. Again, 70 mph is @ 1500 rpm. The car was never completely stopped in freeway traffic, and most of the mileage was on the highway, and one high rpm run up through the gears to 4th. Limited to 3-4 stop lights, and 5 stop signs, then Im on the freeway. Its definitely doable.

Milage did not change with the cam. I get 19-20 mpg combined 50/50 city/highway driving.
