You can run them and get away with it ... but most people will say upgrade to hardened b/c the stock ones can flex, which puts slack in the valve train meaning that the lobes on the cam aren't being translated to the valves accurately which can cause u to lose power.

Pushrods are succeptible to two things, the end loading and stiffness.
With your cam, you now have faster ramps and likely stiffer springs. Therefore, you have higher end loads on the pushrod due to spring loads and acceleration levels. As the pushrod flexes, under these higher loads, it needs more strength to resist buckling and failing. So in a word, No. I think you are playing with fire. I wouldn't rev it much if it were my car, the risk to damage is just too high.

I wouldn't run a cammed engine with stock pushrods. It's not uncommon for people to bend the stockers with the stock cam. I believe the pushrods are 7.400"

Call TR, they should be able to hook you up with the correct pushrods for their cam.

Good luck.

Stock pushrods are just barely strong enough for a stock LS1. Put in some chrome-moly sticks! 7.400 is the stock length for the pushrod.
