Largest Cam through Stock Manifold

I was wondering what the largest cam was that can be used with stock exhaust manifolds, i know headers will make the cam work better but just wondering if there is othere reasons why i would have to go to heders to run a descent size cam. I know the thunder racing is made to work with stock manifolds but is there any cam that will make more power that it thru stock manifolds.
Thanks

Too much back pressure + lots of overlap = polluted charge. Also idle quality will strat to deteriorate with lots of overlap on stock manifolds.

A few people have run 224/224 114 cams (-4 overlap at .05) but whether they made more power than a -8 overlap cam with extra exhaust duration is unknown. Personnally I think the TR Cheater could be put on a 115 LSA 114 ICL for more power.

With XER lobes a 220/228 115 (112 or 113 ICL) would probably be ok.

if you are planning on add headers/exhaust in the future you may want hold off on the cam. i have been through 4 differents cams which was a mistake. At first i went with what is considered a small cam and i regreted it because it didn't make the power i wanted. know what you want out of the cam before you do one because you dont want to go through the trouble a swap and tuning if you not happy.
