Taller gears for any M6 car is very helpful. The smaller the cam, the less likely it's gonna feel like a slug.

You think you have it bad? Try a 408 with a 244/248 63x lift cam and stock M6 gearing

I hope you plan on running race fuel when you spray if you plan on going as far as 5th gear. If not, you are probably going to blow the motor pretty quick.
