Default best cam kit for having not much cash??

im looking for a decent cam. i dont have much money so im looking at the 02+ z06 cam or the ls1 hot cam kit. theyre cheap and i heard that you dont have to change your pushrods with these cams, so thats even better for me who is strapped for cash. i just plan on running low 12's in my car, which is a 98 z A4, and all i have is a lid, exhuast, pullies, stall converter and HP tuners and now im going with a cam and thast it, i dont believe i will go to deep with the car and put heads, i plan on just stopping here. i think adding a cam should get me into the low 12s possibly 11's, just need your helps/ opinions, thanks.

the Z06 cam would work well with an A4 car without any tuning (since you prolly will have to wait to save some for that) and produce some decent power with bolt ons....

what else needs to be done with the hot cam? and how much is the cheapest package meaning everything you need ( i assume push rods, lifters, and rockers..)

You're not going to save much money with one cam over another. They are all going to cost about the same once all is said and done unless you go with a really small cam and then it's a matter of if it's worth even doing it.

I would save up till I can do it right. I don't want to skimp on anything on the valvetrain. The old saying "you get what you pay for" comes into play.

save up it would only be a matter of a few hundred dollars if you did skimp on stuff that you don't think you need anyway. Do it once and do it right.

If you don't your gonna regret it later
