Default T-Rex and Patriot dual golds

What do you guys think of running the Patriot Dual springs with the T-Rex? Or what springs should I be looking for? Also what Type of lifters?

They will work fine, but I recommend that you shim them up to .050 from coil bind.

I have the T-Rex with Patiot Gold spring for over a year now with 7800 rpm revs and no problems at all.

Your springs are good to .650 lift. The TREX goes to .612. that leaves you with .038. By placing .038 worth of shims (like thin washers) you increase the seat and open pressure to keep you from developing valve float.

So do any of the sponsors have some kind of a shim kit or what should I use? Also where do I put the shim right under the valvespring? Sorry for the questions I just don't want to mess something up and hurt my engine right away!!

You can get the shim kit from Thunder Racing
It comes with 18 .015 shims and 18 .030 shims
If you have stock heads the standard install height is 1.800
I would put a .015 and .030 shim in.
The shims go under the seat.
For more info about setting up that cam call Geoff at Thunder Race, he is the expert when it comes to the T-Rex.
