!What do I torque my stock rockers to?!

Exclamation !What do I torque my stock rockers to?!

I need help quick. No internet at home and leaving work soon. What do I torque them too. When I pulled them off felt like over 22lbs like said in the LS1how to right up. Please help.

they're 22lbs but put locktite on them.

And make sure the threads are clean with no dirt that could give a false torque reading. Soak the bolts in gasoline if they're dirty. That'll clean them up really well.

I've found Electric cleaner works great too. Cleans and dries the bolt instantly.

I never heard of putting loctite on them, I was always told to keep loctite out of the internals of an engine. And if you are supposed to use loctite what color/strength should be used?

You can put loctite under the washer part. Under the washer doesn't get to the internals. For the bolt threads themselves, people have used teflon paste. Especially if you have ported heads; a good chance the rocker bolt will poke through to the ported intake side ( exhaust doesn't poke thru ).

22 ftlbs. be carefull, they break easy.
