Default How streetable is a comp cams 228/228/112lsa

comp cams 228/228/112lsa on a car w/ heards/intake/exhaust. Is it a big cam or a smaller one like the LT4 hot cam. I dont know anything about LS1 cars let alone the cams for them. Im looking to buy a car and it has this cam, Its going to be daily driven.

Does it have a lot of lope too it? Did you have to get special tuning for it? Also since the car is a 2002 does it matter for emmissions? Don't they just hook it up to the OBD2 port and not do a sniffer?

its a good cam. i used to have a f10. it worked for me. i thought it was a good idea to move to the f13, but now im thinking the low end power on the 228 was what i really wanted. go for it.

I would definately recomend some kind of tune. It made the car run much better. Get at least a mail order. I am running it with a stock geared M6 with basically no problems. The rare ocasion I get stuck in stop and go traffic that goes under 10mph makes me wish my car was stock. The car surges as it lopes in 1st around idle and just above. But then again it seems worth while when traffic clears up and you can get on it or the other cars you are stopped by can not help but notice a late model loping at idle!
