maybe you didnt tighten a rocker arm down right on the drivers side, did u put all the vaccum lines back on the intake and all that. just check the simple stuff before you tear the motor down to check a lifter.

Check the rocker arms and hope that you have a loose one.. If not then it sounds like it could be a lifter. Make sure that your pushrods are the proper length as well.
I can't believe people will do a heads/cam swap, intake swap, injector swap, etc and not get a tune before driving the car around.. That is just plain stupid.. You could possibly do some serious damage to your engine if you don't get a proper tune for the new mods..

I plan on getting a tune ASAP and was just starting it up to check for things like this. I drove around the block one time and it ran like *** and was ticking all to hell.
I checked all the PR's and rockers and they were all good. I retightened everything to spec to make sure and there is still that damn tick, tick, tick.
The lifters were fine before I did the swap and I was running a 230/236 592/602 114 cam on them. I checked all the spark plug wires as well.
I take it that the lifters is the next step? I REALLY don't feel like breaking it down a third time, but I guess you live and learn, huh?

I didn't measure the preload and I am running what TSP suggested in the 7.4 stock length. Should I maybe need to get 7.425 PR's? Any other MS3 owners have this problem with the loud TICK?
