How's this for an install price?

I am going to get all the following parts installed by a Master ASE mechanic with 12 years GM experience in his free time. Tell me if it is a good deal.
SLP LT headers with SKP install kit, LS6 intake with Whisper lid, Fuddle 4000 converter with new B&M tranny cooler, TRex cam with the Thunder Racing cam install kit, and Double roller timing chain. All this will cost $1150 for the install. Is this a good deal? Just curious...Thanks

well hopefully you havent placed the order on the headers because those things hang low as hell!!! otherwise thats a good price imo. good luck

Well if you figure the average rate for a mechanic is around $60 an hour this is pretty good, but about average if they just drop the cradle. The way you explained it you are going to be installing all of these mods at the same time, so i assume they will just drop the cradle. On my old car I had a lid, intake, cam, headers, converter all same mods as you plus a 3.73 gear all installed at once and it cost around $1400 at a shop that is a sponsor on this board. I did have the SLP headers and i agree, they hang really low. I would go with pacesetter probably, they are a lot cheaper and fit nicely. If you dont care about the price get some Kooks :)

Well ya cant beat that :drive: I probably would have also and just dealt with the clearance. I loved mine except for the clearance which wasnt too awful. Looked amazing with the ceramic coating. All the coating on my hookers has turned to rust now.. :bang:
