Here's my list:
All gaskets (thunder) - $230
ARP Head Studs - $235
PRC springs & TSP Pushrods - $370
Cam - $350
Underdrive Pulley - $190
Ported LS6 Pump - $130
LS2 Timing Chain - $35
NGK Plugs and MSD Wires - $70
SVO 30# Injectors - $300
Lid - $100
Ported TB - $75
LS6 Intake - $450
Pacesetter LT's - $375
TSP Duals - $410
Patriot Stg. 2 "ls6 style" heads - $1300
Comp 850-16 Lifter $180

You could probably save another $300 by buying the gaskets you need individually and using the GM bolts and gaskets supplied by patriot.

That right there should net you ~450rwhp. Keep in mind that if you went FI you are going to need half of the stuff on this list anyhow to be effecient.

That's a total of $4,800 with the studs and gaskets or $4,500 using stock GM stuff which is perfectly fine. A far cry from $8,000. And it's still done right.

If you wanted to skimp here and there you could get this done for <$4,000 but I wouldn't want to go to bed at night wondering if my lifters, oil pump, injectors, or stock gaskets will hold on.
Those heads will not get you to a 450 rwhp goal, not even with a big cam.

A friend's camaro put down 422 on a stock displacement, stock bottom end with an f13 cam, LS6 intake, stock ported TB and Patriot Stage 2 heads.

He's sold the engine on this board so here are the details:

My car put down 441/410 N/A (stock disp.)...and that is without 90/90 FAST and with PP stage II (64cc..u can go with 59cc...and gain some HP)OR go with AFR 205 59cc...(and gain alot more ) ...OR ET ..

i think G5x3(or 4), AFR 205 59cc ,FAST 90/90 ,1 3/4 QTP(with e-cutout)or with a good catback(GMMG) , all boltons and a good tuning...can get u there easliy..

and don't forget about ported oil pump,ASP Underdrive Pulley,,gaskets, bolts ......etc

With his setup on the 59cc he would have made 450rwhp. PRC heads will make 450rwhp as well. Actually if he had the stock 10-bolt he probably would have made it then. I know patriot heads aren't the best, but they will get the job done for a fraction of the price.

I'm hoping my new set up makes 450hp. But I lost a little compression by going with a stock gasket and fly cutting a little to much.

cam 234/242 591/601 lift basically a G5X3 on a 114 lsa.
TEA 5.3 heads milled to 59cc's flowed 295int/235ext
Fast 90mm int/NW 90mm TB
1 3/4 QTP's with a dual cut out Y pipe.

SPRAY IT!!!!

Just dump a 150 shot down it, then still get the heads and cam, you'll be in the 500's then.

STS now offers financing on the base kit which is 3995 you onlky have to put down 379 dollars i believe it was. And then you can just pay monthly. But what ever your total is you have to pay 10% up front.

my setup even with the LS6 intake made 460/402 all motor. Good heads, mid 23X cam with ~.600 lift, long tubes, and 11.2-11.5 compression will get the job done. With what is out there now 5k will get all the parts. Now with install by someone esle I do not know. The best thing I can tell you about an M6 with that power is get ready to drop the coin on a new clutch because the stock one should last about 10k miles.

I am pro N/A motors, but whatever direction you do go in put aside another $5000 at least for a rear end and ALL the supporting suspension parts. After all 450rwhp does you nothing if you cant use it. Oh yea my brother is on his 2nd transmission rebuild which was a $1000 each. Almost forgot too, now that your running 11's you need a roll cage when you go to the track, another $1000... and on and on. Power will cost you no matter which path you go.

450rwhp is no problem at all with bolt-ons, AFR heads and large cam. Look at some of our sponsor packages to get a better idea.

You are going to need to step up more once that goes. You will really need to go to a multiple disk mcloud or exeedy if you are a regular tack car. Unless you can get a new rear on that soon I would not put real sticky tires on it as the 10 bolt will not like it. It will take some abuse but not for long.

If you wanna go 12's for cheapjust get any 228 or 230 cam 113lsa so you don't have to fly cut and still sounds good and nitrous guarantee 12's and maybe 11's depending on other bolt ons
