high 12's? I've got a 2000 formula WS6 M6 and i am looking to be in the 12 second club and i have an nice free flow exhaust on it and am going to be putting on the SLP air lid, short stick, and the 160 thermostat along with a hypertech programmer. Also i am going to be throwing on a pair of G Force drag radials...do you guys think that will be enough? |
i wouldnt waste money on a hypertech, could almost get a dyno tune for the same price |
I'm going to be shooting for 12's next time I'm out, just got some decent street tires.. My best was a 13.4 at 105...with a sub-mediocre 60 foot.. |
Yeah i ran a 13.4 at 109 last time i was at the track but i only had the exhaust, i already have the hypertech i bought from a friend for cheap. |
for some people the mods that you have are enough, if they can shift good and get the car off of the line pretty well. if the mods that you have don't get you there tires would definately help. btw: if you plan on putting any kind of sticky tire on your car make sure that you atleast upgrade to a TA differential cover (with stud kit), it won't be hard to break that stock 10 bolt. |
In my mind, there are two parts of the equation to get into the 12's. Trap speed and 60' time. Your trap is there, now just click off a sub 2.0 60' and you're there. Good luck |
Practice Practice Practice Work for a 2.0X 60'. If you can't get the 60' down you will need more mods. |
