question on comps lobe design's

i have a comp cam 222/224 566/568 112, and does anyone know what the lobe design is on this cam is it the most aggressive one? the reason i'v been driving for 2 years with this cam and it has always made a lot of valvtrain noise, and if it does i was gonna go with a bigger cam and not have this lobe design ground in it. thanks

Your cam is ground on comp's XE lobes. It is not the most aggressive one. Nowadays it is one of the least aggressive. You could step up to the XE-R lobes to get a little more lift. Comp grinds cams on other lobes also, and some of the sponsors use a lobe of their own design.

Check your pushrod length with a checker, it is well worth the trouble. I did mine, went with a longer pushrod to put the preload in the proper spec and the noise is significantly reduced.
