Car won't start Well, a few weeks ago I posted this: https://ls1tech.com/ubb/cgi-bin/ulti...c&f=3&t=000088 So I got the BCM today, installed it,keyless, doors lock/unlock, hatch works, alarm arms, etc. But now the car won't start. Is the PasskeyII in the BCM (Body Control Module)? I always thought it was in the main computer (PCM) (edit) I disconnected that battery to install the BCM, do I have to reset the PCM now? I'd rather not if I don't have to. Thanks again. Anybody know? [ December 06, 2001: Message edited by: Pete2k_Z28 ]
Re: Car won't start well im not sure what exactly you have going on but I find it kinda funny why you don't just save up a little money and putt in a good alarm system like cliffor or something and your get all the options like keyless entry, good theft detterent, and if you opt for it, remote start. Remote start is so sweet.... also on my cliford alarm i have auto window roll up upon arming.... so i just get out push the button, it arms and the windows roll up... that alarm is hella sweet! [ December 06, 2001: Message edited by: QuikSSilver ]
Re: Car won't start Well, I wanted factory stuff, plus I kinda THOUGHT it may be easier to use stock parts I guess I'll put the factory BCM back in and see if that does the trick. That means I have to take the dash apart again. Oh well, thanks though. |
Re: Car won't start Well, just got off the phone with the dealer. The Passkey II is controlled in the BCM. They said they could reprogram that, no problem. So theat's where my problem lie. So, now everybody knows! Thanks. Pete |
