Default Stage III livernois race heads for a 370?

Livernois's stage III heads flow over 320 cfm on std 3.900 bore so would they flow more on a 4.030 bore or less. I was going to do the 2.08 valve (there stage III race head) on the new setup but was wondering if i would loose compression or gain considering these are ls2 heads?

Well, going to a larger bore would shroud the valves less and that is a component of a better flowing head..........but adding in the larger (2.08) valve size changes things too. The compression question needs more definition, are the pistons the same type, i.e. same size valve reliefs or dish, on the 4.030 bore motor? Need more info to answer you.

The pistons would be forged diamond -2cc or -15cc vavle relief but im looking for around 12:1 compression ratio. Also if that piston wont get me to that comression ratio what piston will and will it be able to handle alot of nitrous.

Our stage III Race head now uses a 2.10 valve. We have been working very dilgently on developing our Stage III Race Head further and have succeeded. You can expect new flow numbers very very soon, I can say it does make more then the previous head.

You will gain compression, you are going from 71cc to 66cc with our Stage III Race Heads milled.

-2cc Diamond pistons would get you very close to 12:1. They should be able to hold nitrous decently. I would reccomend Mahle, however they dont make a piston that will get you to 12:1, probably closer to 11:1. This is assuming you have a LS2 bored .030 with a 4" Stroke.

Give us a call at 313-561-5500 and we can help you with any questions, suggestions and ordering of our heads.

Thank you,

Chad @ Livernois Motorsports
