Default Anyone using a Crane HR-240?

Specs are 240/236, .600/.600, 114LSA

Anybody using one?

I got an offer to buy this cam (used) for $50 from a shop that took it out of a turbo car and installed a custom cam.

EDIT: specs here: http://www.cranecams.com/?show=brows...tType=camshaft

Seems big, but it should be able to be tuned and idle OK with the 114LSA....right?

This would be used in an '04 GTO, cam-only + stall.

i am fimuilar with this cam (057), little to much duration for your set up, good fi cam. the price is right though, you should buy it, then resell it. i know what that cam would cost me from crane when they grind them, and that cam would normally sell 389-400 new, 200-225 used. but all in all, pick another one.

If you have a 4800 stall in your GTO and 6800 shift rpm points, it will kick a$$. Otherwise look for something else.

They use 5* advance to get the IVC to 49.

BTW, overlap, not LSA has the biggest impact on idle quality.

Yeah, I figured it was a little big. Just thought I'd get another opinion.

Thanks,
