SLP Bellow's Kit

all i wanna know is will this work on my WS6 will this bend up enough to work on my car.

I also have a lid and when i put that on it pushed the factory bellows together alittle more so will this work on my car with a lid or not

Re: SLP Bellow's Kit

a) im sure SLP did some research with the WS6 lower airbox in developing the piece

b) if there is a problem with the length of the lid, you caneasily trim the lid a bit with a piece of chalk and a dremel.

Dont waste your money. Either stick with the stock piece or get a fernco. Check the mod on raughammers site =)

It's 50 bucks vs 7 bucks

Re: SLP Bellow's Kit

fernco doesn't work on my car cause of the upward bend it has to take i have tried that already and frenco don't bend like this SLP piece does

The Fernco sucks IMO.Big ass chunk of non-flexible rubber just isnt what I consider a nice mod. At least the slp one bends...it just costs $43 more

Get the Baker hose it's flexable and comes in red blue black and yellow and only cost $30.00 shipped, it's way better than the fernco toilet bowl hose on a camaro.

The toilet piece has been working just great on my car. It's a matter of $, some like to spend it, some dont.

Re: SLP Bellow's Kit

The bellows kit is good, but the first time its a pain in the ass to install its pretty stiff, I found the best way was to put in onto the maf, tighten down the clamp, then push it onto the TB as hard as you can (it will most likely want to go inside the TB...when it does this take a flathead and pry the lips some more...and you are doing this all while you are trying to get the airbox in place and getting ready to clamp it down..its a pretty sketcky install, but it works..

Re: SLP Bellow's Kit

I was having the same problem with the OEM bellows when I put the Whisper lid on. I was a little afraid of the hardware piece bellows replacement since I'm concerned it may not maintain a good seal with the engine torqueing back and forth. For that reason I spent the $$$ for the SLP bellows. When I installed the bellows I loosened up ALL the clamps and patiently worked everything in. Works great!

As far as the baker hose goes i went to that guy's site and as far as i could see he only has red and blue and i want black maybe i was mistaken but the SLP bellows seems like the way to go

I'm happy with my SLP bellows kit. If you're not worried about the $, go for it !!!

Re: SLP Bellow's Kit

Dude, it's just $50.

It took me a total of 15 minutes from start to finish.

Including: disconnecting the battery, IAT and MAF sensors (I think that's right ), pulling the Lid forward while still attached to the MAF, removing the stock Bellows (not necessarily in that order), and replacing it with the SLP.

Looking at all the ribs in the stock bellows and comparing it to the rib in the SLP bellows, I'd say it was a good mod

If for nothing else other than visual improvement.
