Your stock f-body plugs were gapped at .060"

I gapped my TR6s same as the factory spec Corvette setting of .050"

I believe TR6s are gapped to about .035" out of the box. I have heard that plugs should not be gapped greater than .015" wider than the way they come out of the box (electrode allignment problems), so, .050 is about max.

TR55s are manufactured with a wider gap, so useing the stock .060" is not a problem

Brian...
Remember, the LS1 coil packs are a very efficient ignition system. They don't need real tight plug gaps unless you are running lots of boost or heavy hits of nitrous.

I believe the largest gap that a TR6 can have is .049. TR55's can be gapped larger. I got TR6's because I had planned to spray (still trying to decide on that). I have them gapped at .049 and the engine runs fine.

I ran TR6s in my old 98 Formula at .044 for a couple of years with good results.
