How much do SLP LT's add?

my friend just ran a 12.95@112 in a 2001 SS M6, with just a lid, SLP LT's, and flowmaster exhaust

What is up with this, i could only get a 13.8@101 and i have a lid, exhaust, and a TCI converter?

my 1st time to the track, can this be improved? The 60' was 2.1 though? any thoughts?

a couple thoughts:

1) 2001s are running strong.

2) Guys with a stock converter can cut a better 60' than 2.1. You either need better tires or a better converter.

3) your mph is 2 - 4 mph low which indicates that you're not making full power or your converter is very inefficent. An M6 with similar mods as yours plus headers should be 6 - 8 mph faster than you, not 11mph.

My friend Al (with a ’00 Z28 M6) went 12.90 @110.72 (2.1X 60 foot) with only SLP LTs, air lid & MAF ends, and a catback. SLP makes a good product that seems to really show big gains on many cars.

Prior to the headers he was running 13.46 @105.1 (similar 60 foots). All other mods were the same.

FWIW:

Saw a dyno graph of a bolt on car that made 345rwhp and 365rwtq with the SLP LT's.

The peak rear wheel horse power numbers with the SLP LT's WERE lower than the same car with customized MAC's.

The peak rear wheel torque numbers with the SLP LT's were HIGHER than the same car with the customized MAC's.

The owner stated he pick up 1/10 or 2/10th's over the MAC's. The owner has also admitted to shifting when the car felt like it needed shifting instead by the tach or by a shift light, so I'm not sure how much of the gain (if any) was the SLP's.

The car was a 99 SS with basic bolt on's and using ATap and the MAFT dialed in just right in both cases.

Later the same car made 385rwhp with a MMS cam...pretty impressive stuff to me!
