Arrow Shimming 918's w/stock cam. Y/N?

I'm installing a set of 918's on a stock 00 LS1 with a Vortech. Will be turning 63-6400ish at ~7psi boost. I've been reading up on shimming the springs and most people recommend shmming a spring up to within ~.050" of coil bind. If I figured correctly that's .153" of shims.

Something doesn't seem right.

1.800 installed height
.497" lift
1.100" coil bind
0.050" clearance

So do I shim or not? Thanks.

Werd.

The 918s already have plenty of pressure to control much larger cams to 6800 and beyond. Theyll have plennty to keep your lifters grounded on a stock cam at 6400.

130 on the seat is plenty, even for that boost level. do not shim.

Thanks guys, that is what I was thinking. But it was like, everywhere I read mentioned you needed to do this. Had me a little confused.

Thanks again.
