Break In Point On LS1's

How many miles till a LS1 engine is fully broken? I have heard different things like 8,000 miles which sounds realistic but I was looking for a little bit more from more poeple with first hand experience or at least knowledge.

Depending on if you drive it like a grandma or a racer, it will vary. I'd say you are up to full power by 5K miles, and thats about it.

Not sure what "broken in" truly means. The LS1's definatley seem to make more power with 5-7000 miles on them than when new but their pretty much broken in when you drive them home...hammer away I say... <img src="graemlins/burnout.gif" border="0" alt="[Burnout]" />
