Looking for Feedback on Custom LS2 Cam

I have a LS2 GTO that is stock except for Kook's 1 7/8" headers with offroad pipes, LPE air intake and HPTuners. I want a cam similar to Patrick's torque cam, but for a 6.0L.
Here is what I came up with, using LSK lobes. 228/232 .639/.643 111 LSA. This gives me a DCR of 8.36 with .060" head gaskets and 8.79 DCR with .040" gaskets, leaving some room for future head swaps. I could bring the LSA to 110, this would give 10 deg of overlap and bring up the DCR. Either way I think the valve events look pretty good.
Ok, I would like to hear what you think.

Valve Lift .006 .050 .200
Intake Dur. 277 228 153
Exhaust Dur. 281 232 156
Lobe Center Line 111 111 111
Intake Center Line 111 111 111

Intake Valve Open 27.5 3 -34.5
Intake Valve Close 69.5 45 7.5
Exhaust Valve Open 71.5 47 9
Exhaust Valve Close 29.5 5 -3.3
Exhaust Center Line 111 111 111
Overlap 57 8 -67.5

duration looks good, as well as lsa, i run a little more advance, little much on the lift in my opinion.

Thanks for the input. Anyone else?

C'mon, help a brother out. Anyone, Patrick, Predator?

:wrongforu I know, but this is where the cam people hang out, at least I thought.

That is alot of lift. At about what lift does clearance become a problem?

PREDATOR-Z 01-20-2007 06:44 AM

just advance it 2* if M6 and +4 if A4 otherwise good trq producer.

NoMoreFWD 01-20-2007 10:27 AM

It is an M6 - forgot to add that.

Lift wise - it is a lot of lift. I would use the best springs I can find. Not sure if going from .600 to .650 lift is a huge deal. I know .650 is in the middle of the range according to David Vizard, based on valve size.

Thanks, I'm open to all ideas.

Great cam if you advance it 2 degrees.

I am not sure what 2 degrees of advance will help. Is it primarily to close the intake valve sooner, bring up the DCR? I forgot to add that I run non-reformulated 93 octane.

By the way, once I get this figured out, I will be ordering from Thunder and will let them know about the help I received from this board. Thanks.
