Can anyone tell me what my compression is?

Default Can anyone tell me what my compression is?

I have my heads milled .030thous and I just got some .50 head gaskets from tpis.Stock gaskets are .55 I beleive so how much will my compression increase by.They said half a point but I dont see how because there is only .05 difference between the 2.Thankx Oh my car is a 98 z if that has anything to do with it.

Should be around 10.6-10.7. Rule of thumb is about .1 increase for each .005 off the heads. So should see approximately .6 gain in CR.

It's hard to tell without the volume of your combustion chambers. But, here is a close guess. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

What reckless said above.

With 63.7 cc chambers (what my heads had after 0.030" milled) and the thinner head gasket you should see 10.6:1.

BTW, stock head gaskets are around 1.33mm or 0.0524".
