Are you going to try a sheetmetal intake? Do you think you will benefit from it?

I'll be happy to take Jason's share of ice cream. That's an awesome video! I can only imagine how it'll sound with a few hundred more RPM!

Also someone e-mailed and ask about the rotating assy.... Stock crank, Eagle H-Beam rods and Lunati pistons.

Way to go Joe!!! Now we can show all these young guys what an old school iron block engine can do... My car should be ready to crank in about 2 weeks...

Let us know ahead of time before you're down in BR so we can all go out for dinner.

Great Job!

Sounds like a very interesting combo...

If you want sheet metal intake ideas in the $1600 range I know of one that does very well in the upper rpms.

Hearing you launch at BG was one of my favorite memories.

Just wondering how long that stock cranks gonna last you. Did you do anything to make it stronger for high revs?? Lightening? etc??? I was going to go with the stock crank myself but was going to spend somewhere around $600-$1000 to get it where I wanted. I just spent the extra and got a Lunati forged 4340 crank instead and left the worries behind!!!!

Nice set up Joe!!!!

All I did was polish it up, balance the rotating assy and drop it in. People the stock crank as it comes here is a very good piece. ASA motors turn 7000 rpm's and last a complete season without the oil pan coming off. So what can I say.... it's your money!!

I thought the same with the stock crank but would you have better responce with a lighter / less resistance crank with radius corners etc? Would it be to people's advantage that did use the stock crank to do these things? My crank came with the throws hollowed out and alot of radius corners which would have alot less resistance when spinning that high rpm range and it looked nice and above all, it was a dencent bit lighter...
