WTF just happened? (Don't know exactly where to post this.)

I just got done waxing the car, so I started her up to pull her out of the garage. When I start the car, it almost doesn't start, it stumbles a bit, idles just below 1k rpm really rough. I figure I'll give it a little bit more gas. I did and when the rpms came back down it idled just the same. After that I turned the car off then turned it back on a again to see if it that would help. Well when I started it and went to pull out of the garage, the exhaust popped more than usual. After that, it started making this ticking noise on the driver's side of the motor. I left it running for like three minutes, still ticking. Revved a little, still ticking. Anyone have any ideas what the hell just happened?

You leave any sensors unplugged under the hood? What are your current mods? What was the last thing you did to the car engine-wise?

Air filter or plug wire pop off?

The #7 seems to jiggle around more than the rest, but I pushed that sucker in there as hard as I could and started her up again. The noise is more quite now, but its still there, and it wasn't there before this happened.

Click the link I put at the end of my post for my mods. The last thing I did engine wise was change the spark plugs like two or three months ago. Its been running fine with zero problems so far, so I don't see how that could be the problem now, though. :dunno:

Broken spring? Do you have an aftermarket cam and some cheap spring like a K-motion?

If this helps, the noise gets faster when I raise the rpms.

The ticking is the wet spark plug wire (that's bad BTW) shorting to the engine or whatever <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_cheers.gif" />
