How much do bolt-on's help on a H/C car?

I got a 98' 6 Speed with TEA Stage 2 Heads, Hammer Cam, and TTS headers with cats, and Ed Wright Tunning.. I was dissapointed when I only dyno'ed 371rwhp & 365 rwtq...

My question is I don't really have any bolt on's beside a Suncoast Ram Air Box, would a LS6 Intake, Pulleys, TB, and off-pipe get me around 400rwhp like most Stage 2 packages dyno at??? What other bolt on's am I forgetting? I know I should already have these is is just hard to justify $300 bolt ons that only give you a few hp...

Yes those are the pieces you are missing to get the car in the 400hp range.

Yeah the bolt ons do help, I'd also yank the y-pipe for the next dyno session, TTS cats flow like crap, I'd say probably costing you 20rwhp right there.

I also have the suspicion that the ramair box I have doesn't work that well. My game plan is a ls6 intake and orp and hope that gets me in the 400rwhp range...I know guys with similar heads, and hammer cam have dyno'ed in the 420rwhp range.

I pretty much had the same setup u did except for i have an auto. My car only dynoed 389 RWHP and 430 RWTQ. I had the ls6 intake. No pulleys and no TB. Although i picked up alot puttin the Stepped headers and the duals. If I were you i would put on and ASP pulley and some true duals and hit that 400 rwhp mark. It will do it. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> Justin
